one deal you regret not taking?

The guy living next door to me was moving and I have known him for ten years. (not into the fish keeping hobby at this time) But he offered to sell me a 100g tank with filter,heater and ect. He said he would give it to me for $20 and I passed up the offer also he wanted to sell his giant 22inch speakers for a car it had a pre amp and everything for only $15 and I passed that up too... I was very young at the time and he was moving out that day and had no time for a garage sale or anything. So I guess the only thing to do is 
A fish store I used to work at was getting rid of one of their display tanks.It was a five hundred gallon,ten foot long monster that they was practically throwing away for five hundred dollars,complete with stand and glass top.I beat around the bush and someone beat me to it.

lol im not no cheap skate the dude was moveing that day and he was moving from the U.S. to somewhere in europe so whatever he didnt sell had to be halled to the trash. I wasnt into fish at that time thats why I turned it down also had no knowledge on what tanks are worth.
Being a newbie to peacock bass (have only had pcbassfor less then 9 months, but had kept and bred all sorts of fishes for over 15 years), before I purchased the Rio Doce Kelberi from MrDee, I was offered a group of 6 azuls peacock bass around 8-10 inches for 400.00 from my uncle... I declined because I didnt think I would ever get into peacock bass... Anyhow, my uncle sold it to a guy in IL, who in return probably kept 2-3 and resold the rest on MFK....sucks for me...

not buying zebra plecos waaayyy back when I saw adults for about $35.00.
at the time it was too much for my budget to purchase a group.
