There are plenty of one-eyed catfish around and sometimes we see blinds ones too. They learn to get by ok, better with one eye, ok even without eyes. They do not rely on eyesight as the primary sensory organ to perceive their environment. Taste appears to be the primary organ. They apparently can create 3D images of their surroundings through taste.
They too perceive electric fields in the water with their lateral line, sometimes sensory pits too - the organs that humans don't possess an analog of.
I had an eye less TSN, it was always the first one to get food. It learned the sound of the tank lid opening and where I always dropped the food, it was there waiting. In a way having no eyes is better, at least for us. Blind catfish don't hide and are always out because they always think it's night time.
Shouldn't have any problems at all other than aesthetically. Had a one eyed Wallago Leeri that picked a fight with my south american lungfish and apart from losing it's eye had no problems finding and eating food afterwards.
