Hi all, I really want to get a CK but they are rare and extremely expensive (usually $400 - $500). I've found one for $150 but is missing an eye (apparently bitten off by an African Cichlid), but it has awesome patterning and seemshalthy. Should I buy it? Its 20cm long. Would it be alright with a 7cm Giant Gourami and a 14cm Senegal Bichir?

Small ones appear every now and then for about $120. This one looks awesome, apart from the missing eye.

i have had several one eyed fish live a long happy life in my tanks and friends tanks. they just seem to manage. i currently have a blind aro that eats out of my hand and is never spooked anymore(cant see!!!)that combo of fish sounds ok what size tank? those fish all need big tanks sooner then you think.before spending that kind of money look around a little more you just might find one with no flaws.gl and happy hunting

that sounds like a lot for a CK i can get them here for $6 for a 3in.

if there hard to find and you like this one get it clown knifes don't use there eyes that much it will be fine with out one they hunt we'll at night and in low light situations so i'd say go for it

as for tankmates it will quickly out grow and probably eat the senegal but the GG should be fine How big is the knife right now?

Its about 15cm long, and it has 9 spots on each side, looks amazing. Unfortunately the shop put the price up, so I probably won't buy it.
