I was at the pet store earlier buying dog food and wandered over to the fish section. I saw a tiger oscar there who only had one eye. He was swimming a little lopsided favoring the side where he could see, but otherwise seemed okay. He is about 6-7" long and me being me...I felt incredibly bad for the little guy. I'm about to be setting up a 150 gallon and was thinking about getting him figuring not many other people would buy him. Do you think he'd prove to be more or less aggressive due to him not having one eye? I wanted tank mates and they would most likely be quite a bit smaller than him starting out.

Hard to say. If the Oscar lost the eye when smaller and now is 6-7 inches then would be the big boss man in ur tank. He may give ur tank mates some nips but if much smaller then the Oscar may get lucky and suck 'em in. What tank mates are u planning?

I was hoping to do a severum, some silver dollars, and a bichir or synodontis eupterus. But if I went with the one eyed oscar I'd probably cut out the silver dollars and choose something else that wouldn't pose the risk of moving by quickly and scaring him.
