One finned Polypterus

Recently bought a Polypterus which has only one fin and a broken fin, but will the broken side of its fin regrow

Post pics. It either might be an injury or a birth defect. Mass bred polys are usually 'bad quality" and many of them have birth defects such as half fins or missing fins. I used to have a defected senegal with
two skinny rectangular fins. Pics will determine.

I have a mass bred senegal with just one of 3 fins on one side. They do fine, although I wouldn't put it in a high tank because they have difficulties getting air.
