i have a light blue african cichlid that has darker blue stripes on him that fade in and out. i dont know the exact species because they was in a assorted tank and im not too good with them yet. sorry. but anyway was in a tank with another male and he got territorial and attacked him last night. he is laying on his back but he is still breathing. he can still swim but he would rather rest. i moved him into a tank with much nicer fish to let him rest. i figure the worst but has anyone ever had a fish make it through something like this? i wont have internet around me for a while so i can not respond quickly but i will be back to check this thread tonight. thanks in advance.
one if my africans was attacked. will he be ok?

my pacu would race around the tank and then 'fake death' when he was really scared when i first got him, thought he had brained himself many a time but its not looking good im for the lil guy really, are there any visable wounds?
as you said and i expected he did pass away. thanks anyway to all of you guys for the reply.at least he isn't suffering anymore.
due to fighting injuries.... he was finless in the end.....
