i found a nice fixture with 2 250 watt halides and 4, 65 pcs and 12 leds. so a totall of 760 watts, on my tank thats about 8.4 watts per gallon. is that too much?

Assuming that your Bowfront 90 is standard dimensions and that the light is going on this tank, you are probably fine. (depending on what you want to grow in there)
its the standard 90 bow. and i want to grow everythin from shrooms to clams and sps 
but i think im goin to have the halides alternate thro the day to simulate the sun. so they wont have everythin full blast all day.

No that should be just fine. You are still only turning them on and off once a day. You will need a whole bunch of timers though.
