I came home from shopping, went down stairs to put up the trim I bought for my In wall aquariums; and then I saw him. My Paridis Gourami laying on the floor dry and dirty, I let out a loud curse word, and then his gill moved, i throw him back in the tank as fast as I could. Now he is swiming and then floating sideways and then swimming again, I hope he makes it. I guess since they breath air unlike most fish, is the reason he lived through this.

I put hum in my uncovered tank to eat snails, needless to say he will be transfered back to the covered 55 as soon as he comes out of shock.

good luck! hopefully his Labyrinth Lung worked out for him.

ok true story. one time my friend was at work (at a pet store), anyway she came in the morning and saw a feeder goldfish dried up and had stuff stuck to it becuase it had probably layed out all night and was flopping around on the ground.... so she puts it in a bag of water to throw away, and it starts breathin and swimming around!!
ZOMBIE FISH! the new frontier of the undead!

Hope he's ok

At the hatchery I worked at, there was a big blue stock tank of 10-12" channels and we walked in one morning to one dried up on the floor so someone picked it up and threw it in a bucket. He swore it moved, so he threw it in a display tank and after a couple minutes it started breathing, then it started trying to swim, but it didn't look good. Well, now it's been well over a year, and he's scarred up, but he's doing fine otherwise.

Eh, why would you throw a fish away in a bag full of water when you thought it was dead though> :screwy:

He pulled through, today he is swimming all around and is back to his normal self. Thanks every one.

Because in the morning when you get to work there are probably ten dead fish and if you throw them away they rot and reek!:barf::crazy: so you put them in a bag of water and tie it up so you cant smell them
