Added a 6 line grouper yesterday, on the advice of the LFS as a suitably hardy grouper - only to discover they can be poisonous.

I'd be surprised if the cownose or zebra shark will eat it - any thoughts? I'm also adding a California horn shark - I know it's a colder water shark, but per KRJ's rec, it prefers warm waters, and the LFS has offered me a crazy price since they've had it for WAY too long.

He's about 4", and looks hilarious in the giant tank. This is him hiding behind a single return.

Awesome grouper dude! Just be careful because when stressed or excited, in my experience, this species likes to jump.

Nice! Lets see a full tank shot.

Check out the other thread "Just a Teaser"

No worries about jumping here - there's a full cover built on with 3 lids.

Very nice How much did you pay? My lfs is chargeing 100$ for a 6 incher. Which seems a little steep.

I paid $15. $100 is very steep - though it is cool looking. I just added a 4" miniatus ($50) too. I'll post better pics in a full right up when I have a free hour.
