So I have a 55 gallon cycled and stocked with 4 buenas aries tetras (will be getting two more) a Jewel Cichlid and a Jack Dempsey. I know that when they two cichlids get full grownish I wil probably have to choose one to keep but all of these fish will probably be rehomed in about 15 months when I move across the country (military).

Right now all of my fish spend 90% of their time in the middle depths of the tank. I'm looking to get a couple fish that will keep my tank well stocked but will round it out and clean some of the excess of the bottom.

Clown Loach? (I know they will eventually get too big but again, all the fish will be reomed in 15 months, also kind of annoyed that they are wrong region)

Pictus cat? (I hear mixed things, do I need a school or will they be ok solitary)

Cories? (Just seem kind of meh)

Any other suggestions?

Come ON guys. Ok, after the third advice I'll email everyone a sexy picture of myself in bra and panties (fair notice, I'm 6'1", 210lbs and male).

Clown loaches do best in groups. If you buy just one, likely it will just hide all the time. It is recommended to keep pictus in groups, but I have never had a problem keeping them solo.

You can keep your pictures to yourself, Thank you.

haha... you may still get requests for that sexy picture of yourself, bra & panties!!

pictus catfish can be kept alone..... very active bottom dweller...although if you have hiding places, some tend to be very shy & hide a lot. Stay away from the loaches as these tend to do much better in groups.

I'm thinking I'm going to get a group of small clown loaches. Everything I've read says they are slow growers and should be fine in a 55 gallon for 15 months.

not sure if the cichlids will harass them in a 55.i think the 2 cichlids, with the schoolers should look good.your maxed out i think.if you had to,i would only get a smaller growing catfish, bristlenose stay smaller
