there's a 55 gal here for sale. comes with tank, stand, hood, lights, filter, heater, gravel and decor, fish net, and water change buckets. he's asking $200 (CDN), but i might be able to talk him down maybe to $150... i already have 4 tanks in a small house. dare i get another?? i think i could rearrange the living room to fit the new 55 gal (i've already got one 55 in there, plus a 93 gal). if the boyfriend will let me... (really don't know if he will. he might just sigh, say "whatever..." and roll his eyes at me)

ohhh... i really want it... and i think i can scrounge up the cash. hmm...
 
I'd offer him $150 for it, if he accepts, just buy it :D
BF will understand, and if he pitches a fit, theres always ways to "make it worth-his-while" :naughty:

i think all women have ways of getting things from our men. and it's usually the same method. it's the way the universe works. it's not our fault we know that they only ever have one thing on their mind... :D
 
Dudett I am tellin ya, it NEVER fails. Even if you have to "get" one thing at a time... For Example, the last few months progress:

First I got permission to setup the 55g in place of the 30g, and then I received the thumbs up to set the 75g up instead. Next step was to get permission to keep the 30g up n' running too (success). I just placed the order for some new lights and misc. supplies, and last night I received the okay! to order the RCS, amazon frogbit, java moss on driftwood AND some more java fern... coming soon: 240g (long) river tank :headbang2

Moral of the story: baby steps FTW! Even if you have to "work at it", you can get EXACTLY what you want :D
 
haha! excellent advice, lady!

we actually went and picked up the tank today :D talked the guy down to $150. going to shift the furniture around tomorrow and start getting it set up. it's going to sit opposite my other 55 gal so they can "stand off" against each other. we stopped at the lfs to kill time before getting the tank and there was some of those electric blue JD's there. wanted one for the tank... but maybe next time. there was a saltwater set up in the store and the b/f LOVED it. he says he's going to be on the lookout now for a complete saltwater set up for sale. hahaha! 6 tanks, here we come!
