So as many of you have seen, I just finished building a custom 74longx19widex30tall cage and showed you all how to do it yourself. What I did not show is what the cage was for.

Many of you might remember me owning a scrub python. Some time ago I moved and was unable to keep her or many of my snakes due to space being an issue. Long story short, I sold her, that guy sold her, I found the current owner and bought her back over 2 years later. While searching for a new scrub python(honestly did not think I would find mine again) I got in touch with a store with one in stock. So why not, bought that one too. So here are some pictures, I just installed the radiant heat panel in there cage and it is fantastic, worth every penny.

Both snakes are very defensive and will defend themselves if in a cage or by themselves. Once in my hands however, they calm right down and show no signs of aggression.

I did not haggle on the price of either of these snakes. Since I bought the one snake twice, that would bring my total up too a grand. I don't mind, the previous owner that had my snake was a total idiot who did not know anything about them, I am happy to have her back in a much better environment.

Very nice cage set up and snakes, I love scrub pythons.
As you probably know, they have an unusually long strike range, something like one third there body lenth, and they are not shy about going for the face. Be careful !

Haha oh yes, I am looking to buy a snake hook shortly just to get them out of the cage for maintenance. They are one of my favorite species and now I have two different species/locals. They are very hard to find in my country and I am lucky to own these two beauty's. I look forward to growing them to adult.

Lucky! I wish i could get a scrub :( unfortunately I'm not allowed anything over 8 feet :( Thats pretty cool you could get yours back. Im sure shes happy to get home... I know a guy who makes really nice hooks, Pm me if you want.

I am thinking about buying a Midwest hook once I get working again. And a "grabber" for feeding my large snakes.

I like the midwest grabber I got, It's a smaller tipped version of the "gentle giant" model, its just a bit slimmer.
