I bred this guy and pretty proud of the results from my first attempt at breeding flowerhorn. He looks like he's getting ready to fade as some colors are starting to peek through on his face and gills. He should be a real looker when all said and done. A fertile looker at that. My boy was able to spray and produce some wigglers last week.

He's probably between 5-6" at this point. I had his uncle that looked just like him when I got him and he turned crazy gold. I'll find some pics when I get back into town tonight. Been very happy with the breeders line so far.

Just out of curiosity (as I'm not personally interested in breeding any kind of fish): some say that FH with red eyes are more likely to be fertile -- is this your experience or is it really a non-factor as I've heard some likewise say?

I haven't heard of too many white eye kamfa being fertile but I have seen it. Even red eye with those are still rare. Super red dragon and gold base you have better chances of them being fertile but it's still not a guarantee. My super red dragon's just spawned a few weeks back and I have maybe 10 free swimmers in the tank if that. He's my first one of those I've had prove himself fertile. This is all on this side of the pond though. In Asia they are years ahead of us in the game and probably have farms of white eye fertile males...lol. Most of what we see over here are their throw aways. They already have the original secret recipe we're all trying to figure out over here.
