One of my Oscars died.

I came home today around 5 pm and one of my oscars was dead and stuck on the intake tube.

I don't know why. I took him out and looked at him and he looked fine. He did not look sick.

I checked the water parameters and everything was fine.

When I fed them this morning they were both fine and they both ate.

Is it possible that my slightly bigger albino tiger oscar killed my red oscar?

Sorry for your loss. Did you notice them fighting a lot?? If he killed him you would probably have some evidence of a fight..

Nope they always got along great.

They are still not over 3" and have never seen them fight.

Also the dead Oscar did not have anything wrong with him.

what kind of filter intake was it stuck to? at that size it may have gotten sucked in and then couldnt free it self.
