One of my Royal Knifefish is looking beat up

Context. I have two of these they were raised together but lately one is looking larger and now the smaller one is getting beat up. Should I separate? I have a large discus tank and a quarantine tank I can move it to. I tried adding another piece of driftwood/pvc and he’s still swimming high

If your sure it’s the other then i would suggest yes as can’t see it getting any better going forwards.

Ended up pulling from tank and into quarantine. Going to treat with salt and melafix since his injuries are pretty bad

You will have to rehome or put in another aquarium.
