One or more

Now that i have finally solved my pond temperature problem, i would like to ask whether i should buy one rtc or more, like two or three?

Numerous articles said that RTCs prefer to be alone in captivity (unless, of course, you have a tank as large as a house). The only place I've seen more than one RTC happily living together was in a massive aquarium in the Dallas World Aquarium. They had four RTCs with two Arapaima, 1 Manatee, a couple of stingrays, a couple of turtles, and many smaller fish. But this tank was legit as big as a house lol.

So, in short, I would recommend keeping just one or maybe a pair if they have the space.

my pond is a circular one with a 12 foot diameter and a height of 30 inches. it is small for two or three RTCs?

I would say two is max unless you want to get rid of the other fish in your pond and just have a catfish pond.

The 12 ft x 2.5ft round pond is nominally ~2100 gal. I'd rather agree with SAB that one probably needs to provide a 20,000 or better 200,000 gal to have enough space for the RTCs to get away from each other when needed. Sure we keep the multiples of ours in a 4500 gal and it is not easy, sometimes they hurt each other, a little or can be significant in the mating season. They can't get away from each other sufficiently in our 13x13x4.5ft.

I'd think it depends on what you want to have in your pond and for how long. RTC will reach 4ft eventually and can be a 20-40 year commitment and you likely will have to move in that long a time, so having a good plan on what to do with the fish should be sensible.
