So, right now I have the most tanks I've ever had running up and running :nilly: But most are spoken for, and I have a problem.... I just added my 3 RBP's to my larger RBP(George's) tank and they got along fine. However it seems the little ones are fighting for territory and the smallest of the three is getting damaged(pieces of fins and tail gone) So I want to move him to a recovery tank before this gets worse. However the tank I have set up and empty is for my new purple spilo and I just started to cycle my 180g(that all 4 RBP will be in) So the question is, should I keep the little guy in his tank take the chance of him being killed or move him to the cycling 180 and try to get him healed up?

Only the strong survive. j/k Remove him and bulk him up then introduce all the rest to "his" 180 tank and we will see how he raises to the top of the pecking order

Thanks bomber :) I plan on moving him to the cycling tank as soon as the water heaters I ordered get here, maybe a day or two. If he doesn't make it that will suck but at least this way he will have a chance, I was watching them eat today and noticed even after the others were done he was still not allowed near the food(I had to get a small piece for him)

if he's already stressed I wouldn't put him in the cycling tank until I was getting NO3 readings. Jack kept a caribe that looked like it had pieces of it's organs missing in with his pygos after it got tagged and it healed up just fine. Either way he'll probably make it, but the nitrogen cycle can be hard on healthy fish, much less hurt ones.

I know it will be hard on him Diogenes but I'm not sure if I have a choice, there fighting seems to be over territory(they both want the space behind the driftwood). Last night the little guy got back at the biggest of the 3 and might have bought me a few days. I don't want to see them get to bad and lose them both...

place a divider in that tank for the little one, if you have territory problems its b/c you have too much space in your tank, add more Ps, individuals should not have territories in a tank when you have a shoal

Sorry I only posted some of my info on this situation but the RBP's are already in a tank to small for them(I'm waiting for my 180g to cycle) and since they were just put together(week ago) they aren't shoaling. Although I did see them act like a group when my pleco was bleeding... it was a creepy and awesome sight to behold :drool::D:eek::D:drool::eek:
