What are peoples opinions on weirs and overflows.

Option A
Two weirs one in each corner with 12" linear overflow each with a 1.5" overflow pipes and 1" return.

Option B
One center weir with 20" linear overflow with two 1.5" overflow pipes and one 1.5" return

I think I perfer opition B as the overflow will not be seen whilst looking from either end.I dont think there would be a great deal of difference in performance.
Given the choice where which would you choose and why or do you have any other alternative idea's

I would do one either in back or in a corner.I doubt having multiple weir would add anything. How big is the tank?

The tank will be a 210 84x24x24 or 260 84x24x30 if the price is resonable, but most likely the 210. I want two downpipes to the sump one to handle the flow i want and also just in case one gets blocked. I think all the pipes in one corner weir might be a bit tight.I dont really want one the inside of the weirs being visable hence my liking for the weir on the back. Also do you think that two 1.5" pipes will handle around 1000 GPH

I have a 210 7x2x2 and mine are weir are in the corners. I just painted the side from the edge of the weir back black to match the black background. Only about 1/3(maybe a little more) is painted black and you can still see into the tank from the end. I think two is better because you get flow from both ends and hopefully more movement.
