One quiuck dumb question from a ray newbie.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes.*

*if the ray is agile and interested*

my rays have consumed quite a few tankmates.
It comes with the territory. Some keepers have had no trouble with tankmates being consumed.
Respectfully,
FireMedic.

PS:
Your question is not dumb, don't belittle yourself. One day you will be offering oodles of advice to others. Ask, ask, ask, ask, ask!!!!!!!

rays will eat basically any fish they choose to... ive seen people keep tetras etc.. with rays and never have a problem and then sometimes the fish disapeer over time...

i put 120 lemon tetras in with my small rays and they ate 119 and the one that lived lasted for over a year and in the mean time i regulary put in 50 guppy's and things to that sort which allways got eaten but the one lemon tet allways survived, until i put a small Kelberi in there and the poor lemon didnt last 5 mins:(, but the ray's got payback on the Kelberi and killed him too:irked:

If a ray manages to get itself on top of another fish, chances are...
well let's just say it would be a pricy risk.

Sounds like a neat little experiment. Got a pic to share?
