Onion Plants ??

In one of my books it says bichirs like onion plants, i saw some today and thought about getting some for my tank. have any of you had these/know anything about them?

i have two in my tank my bichirs seem to like planted watersprite and hornwart (thick plants) better my angels love the onions
have a palmas polli and ropefish loves to hide in the watersprite

good plant fast growing get pretty tall like 3 feet long i think only thing is it can be hard to get it to stay down mine never rooted right plus my cichlids kept pulling it up but the bichir didn't mind chilling in it

they will eventualy grow too tall
I would reccomend plants that attach to rocks and driftwood so your pleco can't knock them out of the sand/gravel.
