... my thoughts exactly. I'm not saying that concervation is not an issue, but cmon... I think that this may be a bit of a stretch
 
I agree, we do need to take conservation seriously but the chances of us really fishing all the fish out of the sea in that amount of time are pretty low. I am concerned about Japan and a couple other countries doing the whale hunting. ooops I mean research, that's what Japan calls it when they kill a whale. They still sell the meat.

need to be done here also. fl teh fishing capital... i always see big fish boat..... fishing boat.... another boat.... some more fishing boat... oh look theres a fishing boat... along the beach... one fisherman, 2fisherman 3 fisherman... more. At the inlet.. fishing boat, fishing man, fishing man... and further out to sea I am sure there is more fishing boat. :irked:
 
tuna stocks are down a lot i know. this is an amazing statistic- "Marine reserves and no-catch zones bring an average 23% improvement in biodiversity and an increase in fish stocks around the protected area"

They arent saying that in 50 years, we'll have wiped out all the fish in the ocean.

It says collapse basically means that the catches have decreased by 90%.
If the rate continues to decline like it HAS been and it has been documented and numbers have been formulated.

Then they formulate that all seafood will have collapsed (all catches will have decreased by 90%) by 2048.
