Only beef heart?

hi guys,

was just wondering... i know some people feed beefheart from the butchers...

i have done the same and all was good...

my question is, does it have to be beef heart? Can we use Pig or Lamb??

Just thought id ask if there was a difference as my local butcher only had pig heart available...

not sure about pig, but you can always feed market prawn they love it and i think its better than beefheath, but always give them a variety diet so they stay healthy.

I have fed chicken hearts but never pig or lamb. IMO if I had to chose I would feed lamb before pig. Just my .02

lamb and pig heart are too fatty.
use chicken heart. it i think liver is okay too, but someone else confirm first please

Pork does contain too much fats. Not sure about lamb. Chicken is better.
