This happened a last summer but decided to share anyway.
Well I went to New York for three weeks. My tank was relativly new at around three months old. I had cichlids only and catfish I believe but im not sure it was a while back. But any way, my dad has a timer on his tank to make the lights go on and off. Well my cousin watch my tank. What I got out of it, she thought I had a timer also, but, I didn't. So she fed my fish twice; and my fish were babies! Like at 1.5 inches TOPS! My tank was gross! Smelled bad, FULL of algae, smells, I couldn't even see two inches in my tank, literally. How about this. Not one of my fish died. Most were laying on the gravel, but they all survived. I almost threw up of the smell and sight of my tank. It was a terrible experiance. So the moral of the story is get someone who knows what there doing to watch your tank.
:WTF:
Those were my emotions.

Anyways I get back and it's covered with uneaten food and detritus, most of my fish are dead, and covered in white slime and everything's a mess.
