I havent really seen many LARGE Large mouth bass in captivity. It may be one thing i will have to do when i move out to my own house. im not talking a 14". More like 20"+! Has anyone else set there standards high like me and actually raised a bass from say 4" to about 20" or near that. I would like to make a world record of the biggest lmb ever kept in a freshwater tank. of course it wount be soon i still have college to go but im thinkin of a good 1,000-5,0000 gallon tank for this monster. any pics of proof to see if its possible, thats what this whole thread is about really, just my life story tho to see if its possible. sorry for the long post about this but im really interested.

Underwater Adventures had some that had to be pushing 20", maybe more.

Dang 20"+ bass and 7lbers! Well that counts, but im not ggonna have a 10,000 gallon + tank like those so it would be more of a challenge. but they do count and i realized that after i posted but not many fish owners have kept bass past the i guess 16" mark b/c they get soo big, agressive, food is alot of $$. like in the building fourm area where that one guy built a i think 2,000 gal. shark tank. i will do somethig like that, and bigger the better. but it would be at least. 3ft tall. 5ft long. and about 4-7ft. wide. remember thats my guesstimation for a minimum a good size i would look for would be about 4 1/2 to 6ft high, 7ft+ long and 10ft wide. but i need a basement that could hold this and space so that will limit greatly.

in my area, its illegal to own one over 4 inches.
dont stop me though:)

lol i hear you. as far as i know its legal as long as you dont take one from public waters or release itno public waters. but thats no problem, ill just release the fish in my bella! now i cant stop thinking about the tank and design. i hooked myself on something i wasent 100% on doing now im 5,0000000% ready to design and build this sucker.

bigger than any bass ive kept :). i had a 3 ish incher but it died b/c i couldnt find anything it would eat, i ran out of baby guppies about .5' in length and petsmart and petco only had 3'+ monster goldfish
