Well the season has started... i finished work at midnight friday and at 4:30 my dad, brother and i left for the road, we stoped by out fav. bait shop and picked up about 20 minowes(more like 30), some new line and some worms just in case.

We drove out to the south west side of the lake and cast off at about 5:30 the sun still hadent come up. we sat in the lovely 16" 1950 boat and we where surprised by how litle boats there where on the water... all in all the lake is about 20' deep so you can see the botom, and because of this we are thinking of painting the boat from its bright orange to a darker colour.

well we didnt have much luck and it started to warm up around 10:00 and funny enough thats when we started to have some luck. we moved around and the last and final spot we began having some luck. my brother began to get bites and almose got a 1"long pike but it had only brabbed onto the bait and not the hook. my dad got a catfish so did myt brother and so did i, then we began getting real bites, i ended up landing a good sized 2"long pike, and some more catfish, i didnt even know that there where any in this lake???

Here are some pictures. pardon the crappy camera phone pics, we anly tood the 3 pics, but ended up with a total of 6, the only one we kept was the pike, and i ate her today, GOOD STUFF!!!

The smallest goes to my brother

Nice pike, and some monster bullheads you have there!

Hmm, is that what they are called?, well if i had my pond all done i might just toss one in. i didnt even know they where in there, but something needs to clean up right?.

All in all it was a prety good day, and we got luckey with no fish finder or anything. i just looked for a area with a bit of weeds that isnt too deep or shallow and bingo...
