Just caught a maybe 3-4 pound Chanel cat but it has a strange sore on it. Does anyone know what this is and if it’s safe to eat the fish image.jpg
 
If I had to guess it looks like some kind of ulcer. Not sure what would have caused it though.
 
I would wait to see what others say there. I wouldn’t risk it personally.
 
Could be an abscess that opened up.

What’s the worst that could happen from eating it lol I’m really in the mood for catfish. Personally I feel like it’s fine to eat but I don’t know
 
Worst case scenario is getting poisoned by some disease and dying. More likely is a really bad stomach ache.
