Open Tanks in May, questions and suggestions

Well, now that I have most of my tanks the way I want them, I'm moving and giving away/selling most of my stock. Sometimes I hate apartments.

I will have an open 55 gallon, and another 55 gallon with a male JD in it. I will only be able to transport a couple of fish, and the JD being the oldest, was my choice.

The open 55 I want to get a grammode, will that work? What is their availability? Any tankmates in a 55 or don't try it?

The 55 with just the JD, what could I have as a tankmate? I already tried a female, and it's not working.

I wouldn't get any tank mates with the grammode other then dithers. i would get a few smaller CA ciclids in the JD tank. But it all depends on your JD's temperment.
