Hi,

Every now and then, my hand scratches on an ornament or on the lid of my acrylic which causes a slight cut on my hand.

I'm treating my fish with Coppersafe and Melafix at the moment.

Is it safe to put my hand in there? Will copper cause anything in my bloodstream? I know Melafix is all-natural already.

Nope ul get fish-AIDS lol no really you will be fine as long as it is a small cut. Try and cover it regardless but anything that enters your circulatory system your immune system will irraticate it shortly after

^ lol. Anyway I guess 2+yrs in schooling for immunology and infectious disease, many months working in both Africa and south/central America in infectious disease labs mean nothing....if it's a small cut. Risk is very minimul. Your immune system will take care of most anything you could possibly come in contact with. Remember your body produces specific memory cells that remember pathogens and instruct leukocytes to bind and neutralize said pathogens. Every time you stick your hand in the water chances are a small amount of water defused into your blood stream and by doing so your immune system can react to it. So if it is a small cut or abrasion you should be fine, if it is a large laceration or avulsion cover it up and don't expose it to dirty water

I wouldn't risk it..
Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas!
