This morning I did a WC on my 3 tanks and all seemed normal and fine then I ran some errands and had 7 dead red minors. Didn't think much of it at first since once every 18-24 months this happens but only in this tank and only with teras, never cories or cichlids or any other genus. Tank is also never the first tank cleaned so it's not something to do with water sitting in the plumbing. Anyways I run more errands get more fish and noticed they're near the surface. I look at the regulator and the working pressure shot from 35-80psi, tank pressure is a bit over 800psi. Any ideas as to what would cause this to skyrocket?

A bit of snooping and it is a sign of end of tank dump.

Dual stage regulator will put a stop to end of tank dumps, but cost more...
I looked at gla for a quick glance and $625 is a lot more than I care these days. I have a red flame sword, assorted crypts and just started s depend so I'm debating getting a refill and testing the waters without co2. My LEDs are dimmable so hopefully I can find a balance I'm happy with if not I'll hook her back up.

Looks promising and for about $125 it's a low risk high reward purchase. Only negative I see is working pressure only goes to 25psi and atomizers need more pressure but I'm currently running a cerges reactor so I should be fine and don't foresee myself running an atomizer again.
