What's up everybody? I have a 5" festae and a 4" dempsey and i was looking for them some company. I was wanting a dovii. What do ya'll think? I have them in a 150 gal tank.

Your dempsey is probably gonna be killed by the festae. Throw a dovii in the mix and you asking for trouble. Plus, I think you tank is too small anyway. I'm sure a more experienced Dovii/Festae keeper can tell you more.

Oh yeah, Welocome to MFK.

I agree also. If you wanted to keep more fish I would think about removing the festae. Then you could probably fit two or more fish in their depending on what they are.

Id scratch the dovii idea unless youre wanting a 1 fish tank eventually. They grow super fast and in 6 or so months, more than likely, youd have to re-home some one or flush the dead ones. The festae & JD combo has worked for me in the past in a tank the size of yours, along with a carpintis, midas & several convicts.

If you want a dovii, just be sure to know they arent community fish 99% of the time after they reach 6 or so inches. You might have some success until then, but after is doubtful unless you get a bigger tank.

Good luck with whatever you do. If youre close to Wilmington, I have several 3.5-4 inch beautiful cubans for sale and one would work in your combo well.

Cubans are really nice. I think they would do well with what you have. Minus the dovii of course.

Cuban, Jaguar or Texas are fish that I would consider . . .
