This is a 3.5" Kalberi peacock bass.

My first one.

Can you tell if male or female?

I didn't know if 3.5" was to small to accurately vent the sex?

Thank you for any help.

Tough to tell the fish is still young, but looks like a female vent o0 , males have a flap o> Follow up when the fish is 12".

Thank you for your opinion. I really am enjoying watching this fish.
I was going to originally keep it as a solo Wet pet.
It looks as though you are familiar peacock bass. May I ask your opinion on keeping it as a solo Wetped versus having a threesome?
I would prefer to keep one however I have read that their personality and behavior diminishes when they're kept solo?
What do you think?
Thank you very much.
