I'm replacing my 125 with a brand new 125 this weekend. In the few hours that I'm doing the switch, I need to keep my fish somewhere. I have 28 African cichlids in there that are 2" give or take 1/2". The only other tank I have is a 10 gallon quarantine tank. I'd like opinions on whether or not putting them all in that tank for a few hours is a bad idea.

Thanks in advance.

10 gallons sounds way too small. If you can't get some bigger bin I'd probably just throw them in the bathtub. Give it a good rinse and make sure the plug is in...:)

Two 27 gallon totes run air stones use tank water and dose with prime.

Will get you thru no problem.
