Id like to hear from everyone and give your opinion as well:

Is Garlic beneficial for rays?

If yes, the following question are for you and give why you use it.
But if no, then please give your opinion why its not beneficial.

1) What type of garlic do you use?
(exp: Grocery store--garlic juice, minced garlic, powdered garlic)
(exp: petstore supplement)

2) How do you give it to the ray if grocery store garlic?

3) How often do you give?

my opinion on garlic is a positive one. i like it on almost everything. once when i was making eggs i added garlic and they were delicious.

lol

yes its just as benifical to a ray as it is to you!! i use garlic gaurd by seachem once a month i soak into the shrimp i feed

but it may have been misinterpreted somewhere some people look to it as a cure when its not.it maybe more benifical to healthy rays bceause every thing is working!

in a case like the sick flower i doubt it.i have treid it on sick and healthy rays and never notice anything! its just a belief of mine its good for me and a bet its good for my rays.

i have herd things if humans eat certian amounts on regular basis they will be less likely to develop some health issues? but i bet if a human is sick in one of those way it probably would not help

this will be soley opinions i dont think anybody actualy could ever support any realiable statements about garlic and uses on tropical fish. but as i stated above i do beleve it to be benifical to healthy rays only

I use garlic gaurd in my DIY food. Like calgary said I like to use it but have no hard data to support wether it does anything or not

I understand your opinion.
I do agree, its not a cure for sickness. But again, any benifit to the immune system is a good benifit...

But in my opinion, that if garlic is to help benifit the immune system, wouldnt it not only do that in a healthy ray but also in a sick ray.. I mean any benifit to the immune system is a good benifit rt?

Just my opinion... I think if the ray is sick, and garlic benifits the immune system, then its a helpful tool even if its not a cure.
And in a healthy ray, any extra kick to help keep the immune system better, is a good one..

what if the rays immune system is fine,it would only be adding more resistance to bugs maybe??

or what if the rays so stressed like mshills flower that its immunity is shot?? i dont think the garlic can help.plus rays dont like garlic

i think it does help immunity just as it does in us! so adding if it does a little bit would be great!! and could not harm anything.the idea of soaking my rays food in it once or twice a month to me i beleive it does something but cannot prove it. but the rays dont like it at all

funny enough, i've had the opposite reaction. if i put garlic guard on anything for my rays, they will not touch the food. it can even be earthworms that they eat everyday, they won't touch them if there's garlic on them.

That is exactly why I started to add it to my DIY food any pellets I soaked in garlic where ignored but he doesn't seem to notice it in the diy food
