Just seen a Brycon (looks around 7 inches) at my lfs...I was wondering if you guys think it would be possible to house in my 150g or 75g. I could shuffle some fish around.

150- bob (13 inch flower horn)
BBC- (12 inch irradesent shark)
12 inch pleco
8 inch mala wolf fish

75 - 11 inch curu wolf fish
8 inch ornate bichir
8 inch del bichir

Thoughts?

A very active species that needs a tank measuring at least 84″ x 24″ x 24″ (180cm x 60cm x 60cm) – 793 litres.

Maxes out about 9" from what I see on seriouslyfish, but with being so active I would think their recommendations for the length would be key.

A larger tank would be better, but I won't be able to upgrade for a while ( 2 years is my plan, saving up )

I was thinking I might be able to get away with the 5 foot length and use a powerful wave maker. I've never kept a brycon so that's why I'm asking. :)

Looks like a Dentex.....

Will spar with anything, plan on fins being trimmed. Lil basterds.

I'd best describe their personality as a Tiger Barb that looks like a Dorado.

I'm pretty sure it's a dentex. It's labeled as a salbo barracuda.

I don't think the mala would catch it in the 150, but it might try. The pleco and shark are rescues I can always rehome to a friend, I'm using them for dithers. The flowerhorn is what I'm scared of. He's slow from being so big, but if he connects it could be a problem.

Why do you have the bigger more active curu in the smaller tank..? I doubt the flowerhorn will catch it.
If that's your worry.

I think you're worried about the wrong fish.... I'd be worried about the Curu eating it, not the big bastard fish that will never catch it.

Sao Pablo Cuda is a common name, Equadorian Cuda, Dogfish etc.

Probably $40-60......
