7 weeks ago i got my first ever tropical fish tank, an elite 60 (60 gallons i think :\). At the moment i have 5 platys, a male and female dwarf Gourami, three clown loach's and two starlight bristle nose plecos. I'm thinking of getting one more fish in my tank and I'd like it to be eye catching and impressive and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of nice tropical fish?

That's 60 Litres. In which case your already overstocked. I'd definately upgrade but that's just me. My first tank was a Clearseal 90 litres. Within a month I had a 55 Gal (UK).

if you ahve what steveR says you have, then youre overstocked and need to get rid of all the loaches and at least one of the plecos.

if you actually have a 60gal tank, then youre just about fully stocked, and you might be able to put a bolivian ram in there if you have good filtration.

I agree, depending on what the actual tank volume is, if it is the 60 gal. you could go with an indian flasher barb. Wicked colours!

u could get some black skirt tetra ,,some zebra danio, serape, moly will do good !!
If u upgrade i will recomand u to get some Barbs ,sword tails and some sharks!!

Clown loaches get way too big for your tank.

The clown loaches are one loan from the shop, I did my work experience there and they gave me some baby's to kill the snails, they are still very small and they are going to take them off me when they get to big.

sooo.... is the tank 60gal or 60liter?

Measure the length of the tank with a tape-measure in cm. I think she has a 60L. Since having a 60 GAL with just the stuff listed would look empty. Remember 60 GAL uk is like 75-80 USA GAL.
