So pretty soon I am need to upgrade my four wimple piranhas to a new tank. They are roughly two inches now. My original plan was to move them into a 75 gallon. Now it looks like I might be moving to a smaller place. As far as space goes it would be better for me to leave the 75 behind and set up a 55g instead. The couple inches of width will make a difference in the new place. People think this will be roomy enough? My plan is to try and breed the group. The tank will be fully planted (refilled the CO2 today!) and full of dithers. Thoughts

I don't think whimple will get big enough to make the 12" width look too narrow so should probably be ok.
The 6" extra width really makes that big of a difference at your new place? just curious.

The place i am looking at is long and narrow. It has one spot that could easily fit my 125. There is no great place for a four foot tank. If it goes in a hallway the six inches will really make a difference. If I decided to forgo room for some kind of closet then the 75 would work out most likely.
