Getting a 75g to setup in my living room/dining area. Because of the room I'm restricted to a 4' tank and there is only so much you can do with a 55g so putting a 75g there. I want something that will look nice, the wow factor so to speak. My first thought was a reef tank and I have had this before but I don't want to throw that much cash and extra time into the tank (granted SW isn't that much more time consuming then FW). Then my mind went to African Cichlid setup with either Tropheus or an overstocked Mbuna tank or maybe a mixed Lake Tang. tank? Or could do a dwarf SA tank with apistos and blue/gold rams with something else.

I currently have a 150g CA/SA tank and a 160g SA tank so don't really want to over lap too much as I like keeping a variety of fish.

Thoughts?

I have a 3d background for this tank already. Designs By Nature Slimline Abyss (black 3D background) and I'm not too keen on Flowerhorns...never had a Midas before though.

My personal opinion on a wow fish would have to be some exodons. In that size tank you could easily keep 20-30 of them and that would be sweet. Or if you want colors that pop how about a school of Congo tetras and then some sort of oddball African river fish like a elephant nose or some butterfly fish.
