A couple of you know I shut down my 300... I got the itch again Lol.

I am stuck between 3 different designs for the standard 5' 100gl glass sump.

1)
First chamber Mechanical. Socks, sponges etc... second chamber just Ceramic Rings. This one I would have to dig in my pocket to buy more Ceramic Rings to fill it up.

2) First chamber filter socks (mechanical) and ceramic rings and use my bio balls since they would be sitting in the garage.

3) Leave as is and just pack the single chamber with everything
7 Bags of Ceramic rings plus all the Bio Balls

Stuck Stuck Stuck... I think the hardest part is the design:irked: (build's are usually easy:D)

I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I had the whole chamber packed with everything but I did not like the build up I got at the bottom of the sump. I changed my filter socks daily at the time :(.

I am strongly leaning towards half ceramic n half wet/dry bio balls... Hmmm

Both. Never too much bio, just find a way move mech over the sump if u have room

i have both and now i bought micro mec also lower nitrate levels etc...
