I can get them brand new for $140 Canadian. Is this a good and reliable filter? How do they perform? Typical Eheim quality (excellent)?? People that have them, any problems??
As the name suggests they are an economy line. They are only ok, but $140 for a 2236 is a little high. I'd personally just get the Eheim 2217 for ~$100.

Remember this is Canadian dollars, I can get the 2217 for $190 CAD.... and apparantly ECCO stands for ''Eheim Convenient Canister Operation'' (not Economy - thats what I thought at first too lol...)
That is what it stands for, but it still is only an economy filter. The 2236 only runs $45 here. The ecco line is not a very good filter compared to most of the other eheim filters. They are the cheapest eheim filters for a reason.
