I've finally got my 125 back up and going and started to look into lighting options. When I purchased my tank off of Craigslist, it came with 3 mix-matched lights, all three different colors, with all three having different colored bulbs. Needless to say none of the three even remotely resemble anything that should fit the tank. The tank is 72" long, and freshwater. So I'm not needing the 'special' kind of lighting that is needed for SW setups. I was trying to find either a single 'normal' light that would span the entire top, or two 36" ones. My plan would then be to get some moonlighting kits from digikits.com to put inside the housings.
I've only been able to find 36" light assemblies through fosterandsmiths for about $100 each, then I'd have to add in another $50 or so for the LED Moon lighting kits. So far this seems to be my only option, without going into the higher $400+ range.
I've considered building a canopy and housing them there, but I really prefer the bare look on the top.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I could find a 72" 'normal' light for a halfway reasonable price?
