Tell you what it is I found for sale, you tell me how much it is worth. :) This size is not offered in my area so I have nothing to go by. I do know a tank just like this that is 75gl is $99 to give you an idea. 55gl $79. I would have to drive 65 miles for this also.

120gl that has been sitting in storage for a few years, new, never seen water. No stand, no lights, no hood just the tank. Here is a picture, he wanted $225 obb and now it is at $175. My issue is, we all know that tanks can be lemons and since this has not seen water it makes me nervous. Also sitting for a few years how good is that for the seems dry it out make it more prone to spring a leak?

well since it is sitting in his garage doing nothing and obviously doesnt want it anymore you might be able to talk them down to a dollar a gallon...

Thanks for the replies so far. I am going to try and talk it down a little, make up for the gas LOL now this thing is 4x2x2 they say.

Lights and hood.... where on earth do I find the hood and lights for it if I get it? Get two 24" light strips?

Reason I am looking for a larger tank? LOL

I am at this time currently watching my bullhead that I just bought it seems not that long ago at a whopping 1" swimming around my 55gl at 3 1/2" already licking his chops chasing my tetra. LOL He needs a new tank.

I have a 6" rainbow shark that is a complete dick and I am impressed how the little bullhead already doesnt put up with his crap. It is funny to watch. The shark will go after the bullhead and the bullhead will go at him head on and dart after the shark and chase him across the tank.

well that is a std size tank so you should be able to get everything at Big Al's and I would go with a 48" strip light, depending on if you want a planted tank or not I would recommend getting a single tube light so it wont be to bright for your fish...

Nope not planning a planted tank. The whole planted bug hasnt hit me yet LOL

ya so go with a 48" single tube strip light then you wont have to tint the lids or defuse the light in anyway...

Offered $125 come pick up this evening, have to drive in a pickup for 130 miles and it has never seen water, can have a leak and I cant return it. See if he bites.

I am excited. Gonna be a sweet deal if I get it.

sounds a good deal, i have just bought 1 same size 4by2by2 come with a filter, lights, stand and heater for £180$360 but i got him down abit on the price. i have to drive 40miles to pick this up.

good luck with the tank and if it does it can be repared quick easly.
good tip argue the price:D ask $1 a gallon

:iagree:
I see yours is deeper while mine has more length.
I got mine new at Petsmart for $299 - included cheapo stand, undergravel filter, and lights (two 24in). It was a closeout and there was only one.

Sounds like you got a decent deal on it. While you're the pickup spot see if you can have them throw some water in it to do a static test. If it hasnt been banged around and/or exposed to extreme temps you should be fine.
The silicone is usually pretty tough but if you see it doing any curling or pulling away from the glass then they need to just give it to you or you walk away from it.
