opinions on shrimp colony

so im thinking about starting a glass shrimp colony to have live food for my cichlids and possibly in the near future a red wolf any experience on this? or a different species? my only thoughts on this is they are a bit small any one know a bit bigger in the 2 to 3 inch region?

you should get them. once they start reproduction at a fast rate you could eat them for an infinite amount of time. just be careful not to eat too much as they are high in cholesterol.
