Hi there, just wondering if I could get some opinions! I'm thinking of taking the plunge to sand. Have been reading massive amounts of literature on different types of sand, still uneasy about it.

My question is, Do you think it would benefit my tank's appearance to switch to sand? What would you do with the internal decor if it was switched, would you take out any (plants, drift, rocks, etc)?

Here are some pictures.

Should I take the "plunge" into the world of sand?

The ray would love the sand, but I don't think it'll make a huge impact on the aesthetics.

AWSOME looking tank! fish arent bad either! :)

I think it would look awesome. Once I got sand, I haven't gone back to gravel with any new tank set ups.

well since you have your ray i dont think you wiould want to add much decor as it would make it harder for him to move around
I would keep it the way it is, it looks really good

Great to know! What type of decor do you have in your tank? What type of sand did you use?

I have black sand, rocks, dfrifwood, and a couple of Anubias plants. I got some Dats, a couple of fancy plecos, and a senegal. I don't know the type of sand (I didn't even know that there were sand types besides black or tan back then).
