That's a tough call. both are awesome in their own way. A silver is a better choice if you want less aggression and an easier selection of tank mates.

i cant even compare the two. if you want tankmates-silver, no tankmates-jar. i dont factor in the cost of a fish unless its hundreds of dollars. i'd love to have a jar but i dont have the tank for one. yet

but i actually have the money because i sold one of my smaller tanks
but i like silvers alot because they look very cool
but so do jardinis
they have theyre own special looks

How big is your tank? that might also make a difference.

what size tank??? JAR for sure if you want an agressive fish... but you will need a big tank for both the silver and the JAR.

Jar for sure most looks like an asian and i think colors are better. GET A BLACK!! Big tank no tankies but very sexy
