Hey guys

I got my 220 gallon goin now and i have 2 vene's who appear to be a pair their about 7 inches living with 2 of the dreaded flowerhorn and 2 ornate bichirs. i have no gravel in the tank currently and the 2 pikes are inseperable. so my question is what is your opinion. Can the pikes live with the flowerhorns or is one cichlids aggression going to overtake the now 4 month stalemate and result in some casualties.

Thanks
Ben

I'd say its a time bomb waiting to go off. Even in such a large tank, those two aggressive species together could be problematic. Its possible it could work out, since they've done well so far, but chances are they are gonna flip when you least expect it, and you'll come home to dead fish.

Well so far the flowerhorns actually bred and succesfully raised some fry that i just siphoned out yesterday and the only casualty has been the odd man out 3rd flowerhorn. But now the hunt is on to find a tank just for the flowerhorn pair because the bigger they get the more aggressive they are becoming.

ill try to get some pics up of the ven's as soon as i can

lets see some pics of ure pikes
