Options for taking a mirrored background off a tan

Need to get this mirror background of my 45 gallon, i have tried before but it only seem to chip off in tiny pieces, any idea how to get it off easily?

What was used to adhere it?

im not sure i got it from Cross127 like that and he said he go the tank like that
knowing how it was adhered is probably they key the nyou can figure out what to use to break the bond

only thing that makes it difficult is that its full with water

Acetone or...................a belt sander!!

razor blade or a belt sander which ever works for u
