Im getting a 29 gallon tall tank for free this week completely bare except for some LED lighting and a HOB filter. It also comes with both a spotted an striped raphael. Im not sure of whether or not i should keep them or give them to my fish store. What do you suggest I do in it? I wasn't sure because its so tall. I really love dwarf cichlids, most SA fish really, and I already have three tanks with them, so maybe I could continue with the trend. I don't know, make suggestions!

I wouldn't think so with dimensions like that. the fish would be crammed right? How about some smaller community cichlids. I have Taeniacara candidi, nannacara anomala, and apisto. pertensis and dicrossus maculatus. i thought some biotoecus opercularis? maybe.

maybe a pair of firemouths?

Firemotuhs are a good choice. cons, apistos, rams, kribenis, i have the same size tank and i cant imagine a full grown jack dempsey in there. smaller kinds of geos, scarlet badis, brichardis. i know im not staying on the south american trend but maybe these r options u havent though of. raphael cats are a fish u never really see and they get quite big. if u could rehome it to a bigger tank it would be a good idea.

k Ill rehome it as soon as it gets into my possession. I like the idea of geo's. what species were you thinking? Ive always wanted el norte and gym no balzani but I'm not sure if this is the right tank for them
