Orange Chromide Video - I Love This Species!!

Since there's no category for Asian cichlids, I put it in "Madagascar' since Etroplus is a very close relative of the Madagascan Paretroplines (continental drift separated the two groupings). This video shows a pair of wild caught Orange Chromides (Etroplus maculatus) in breeding dress guarding around 80 newly hatched fry. The eggs were laid in the pot to the right and were just moved to the new location. This feisty little cichlid always provides a nice show.

Congrats on finding the wild color form. I miss it from when I first started in the hobby, seems all the LFS carry are those hidious manmade red forms around here at least. Great cichlid.
