Not to experienced with Severums. I have kept many cichlids in the past and have been told Severums are more mild mannered. Well my wife saw some orange nick severums about 5 inches and fell in love with them. Any thoughts on adding these to a ray tank? I have pbass in the tank that are up for sale and IT dats.

severums work good with rays

Severums are my favorite I have aton of them..haven't put any in with my rays but I could amagine them being a good tank mate..they also have a crazy variety of diff sevs...the yellow and red fire are a good bright one, rotkiel or redhead sev are nice...greens turquise etc.

Severums,Geophagus and Satanoperca all compliment a ray tank, they are all in keeping with the whole Amazonian biotope, lovely peaceful cichlids that feed in a very steady manner....love em!

That would be a badd looking tank...

They'll be fine, i have 2 Red shoulder sevs and a gold sev with my rays and haven't had any problems

I had rotkiel's with my rays, they were fine but they were aggressive towards each other.. Everytime they caught sight of each other, one would chase the other one away.

I wasn't sure what sex they were, that might have been the problem but i got rid of both cause i like my fish in pairs.

Geo's can get pretty ugly when it comes to breeding time. One of mine tore up my rays pretty good. :(

i have kept sevs with rays they are fine until the rays get to 10inch+ disk then the sevs are food
