Orange spec?

I have a plant in a tank with ghost shrimp. Its a hornwart and I notice it has a little orange spec on it, and the little orange spec moves... ?? Anyone have any idea what it might be and if it would be harmfull at all?

Could be anything ... from baby shrimp to snails to leeches, to .... Pics would help.

I cant get a pic but the bf said its a snail... so I guess its a snail =)

Get out a magnifying glass, does it look like this, if so it is a water mite, harmless though it feeds on plants and if there were large numbers can cause some plants to get weak. The pics are by Bruce Russel and Jenny Davis.
